Morichika is one of the famous and  wonderful Bengali poems. It was written by Rabindranath Tagore. Morichika is also known as ‘Mirage’. It is known as one of the beautiful poems of Tagore’s early poems. Morichika was first published in 1886 in a collection called Kori O Komal (Sharp and Flat). It is said that later Rabindranath Tagore translated this poem to English himself. That was originally published in 1942 in a collection entitled Poems which was edited by Krishna Kripalalni, Amiya Chakravarty, Nirmal Chandra Chattopadhyay and Pulinbehari Sen. It was published after his death by Visva Bharati. It is said by many people that this poem is not only beautiful but also very meaningful. The writer of this poem Rabindranath Tagore was a Bengali polymath. He worked as a poet, writer, playwright, composer, philosopher, social reformer and painter. He was the first lyricist to win the Nobel Prize in Literature. Tagore was also known by sobriquets: Gurudev, Kobiguru, Biswakobi.
