RTGS (real-time gross settlement) and NEFT (national electronic funds transfer) are electronic payment systems that allow individuals to transfer funds between banks. Fund transfer under NEFT is settled in batches as opposed to the real-time settlement process in RTGS. RTGS transactions are processed in IDBI Bank branch offices between 9:00 AM to 4:15 PM from Monday to Friday and between 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM on 1st, 3rd and 5th Saturdays. It is to be noted that service charges applied to fund transfer via RTGS initiated online have been temporarily suspended. Customers can use a digital banking platform to process RTGS transactions for free. |
